Is Spirulina tested for heavy metals?

Yes. the Spirulina was sent to testing lab to test for the presence of heavy metals and no heavy metal was detected. Furthermore, the nutrients used to make the cultivation medium are all Food-grade. ( Sent to Testing Laboratory )

 

What is Spirulina classified as in Singapore Food Agency (SFA) regulation?

FOOD ADDITIVES PERMITTED UNDER THE SINGAPORE FOOD REGULATIONS

(as of 31 July 2022) Food additives permitted for use in food products

imported/manufactured for sale in Singapore are specified under the Food Regulations. The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) has prepared this guidance document to assist food businesses to conduct self-checks on their food products to ensure that only permitted food additives are used and that the levels used are within the maximum levels permitted under the Food Regulations. select “Food Regulations”] Legend: (GMP) - “Good manufacturing practice” means that the additive may be added to food at a quantity limited to the lowest possible level necessary to accomplish its desired effect unless otherwise prohibited by individual standards under the Food Regulations.

Nutrient supplements (i.e. food additives listed under the Seventh Schedule) should be added at levels that are safe and suitable for the target consumers and taking into consideration the requirements specified under Regulations
11(4) and 252. ( * ) – Maximum levels of use are stipulated under the Food Regulations.

 

 

Is our product tested to show that it does not contain pathogens?

Yes, the fresh Spirulina is sent to a lab to test for pathogens. It has passed the specification requirement for the SFA Sales of Food Act (CAP 283).
